Voltrelli develops charging hubs for cars and trucks with CINEA support

More than charging stations: infrastructure for passenger cars and heavy-duty transport.

Voltrelli is developing a network of high-power charging hubs in Romania through a European-funded project supported by CINEA. The initiative combines charging infrastructure with Voltrelli’s own operating platform, monitoring and dynamic power management.

The project has a total value of EUR 5.2 million and benefits from a non-repayable grant of EUR 4.08 million, contributing to the development of TEN-T infrastructure.

We invite companies with available electrical capacity and suitable sites to become location partners and make better use of their existing infrastructure through EV charging services.

A 10-year partnership with no investment in charging stations

Voltrelli’s proposed partnership model provides for EUR 0 upfront investment by the site partner in charging stations, a 10-year collaboration and a 50/50 profit split between the partner and Voltrelli.

The partner provides the site and available electrical capacity, while Voltrelli handles installation and charging operations. This allows the partner to earn income from charging services without setting up an in-house team to manage and maintain the stations.

What does a partner site need?

The project’s minimum requirements for a partner site are:

• At least 350 kW of available electrical capacity.

• Approximately 1 m² of technical space, separate from the parking spaces.

• At least two dedicated truck parking spaces.

• Round-the-clock public access, 24/7.

The hub configuration and conditions for joining the project are discussed with the Voltrelli team, based on the characteristics of the proposed site.

Voltrelli handles implementation and operations

The partner package covers the full process, from installation to day-to-day operation:

• Equipment and commissioning: 350 kW DC charging stations, installation and commissioning.

• Permits and compliance for the charging infrastructure.

• Operations and assistance: monitoring, 24/7 support, maintenance and servicing.

• Software and energy management: Voltrelli’s own platform, fiscalisation, dynamic power management and energy optimisation.

Voltrelli has been active as an EV operator and integrator since 2014, with projects in Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.

From charging stations to energy hubs

Our approach is to develop infrastructure that brings together high-power charging, software-based operations and the energy resources available at each site.

Depending on the existing infrastructure and the configuration of each project, this approach may include solar generation and battery energy storage alongside the charging stations.

For sites with solar generation, EV charging can help use surplus energy, while software-based control enables consumption to be managed.

For partners, the starting point is the site: available electrical capacity, vehicle parking spaces and public access. These provide the basis for discussing hub development with the Voltrelli team.
